Dog Foods & Feeding
Stay away from foods containing wheat, soy, corn, by-products and ingredients with names you don't recognize on the back of the bag. The food inside the bag is composed primarily of the first three ingredients listed on the label. The first thing listed should definitely be some type of meat (chicken, beef, lamb, salmon, etc). Bil-Jac, Blue Buffalo and Solid Gold are all excellent quality foods to feed your dog. They contain human-grade meats and quality fresh ingredients.
Commercial Foods
Raw Diets
I feed my dogs a raw diet and have been very happy with the results. Contrary to popular belief, dogs and cats CAN eat raw meat and in fact this is the type of diet they would naturally eat in the wild. The costs associated with feeding a raw diet are comparable to those of feeding a high-end kibble diet and the benefits are numerous. Dogs with chronic ear infections, allergies, loose stool, and a variety of other issues have been helped dramatically if not completely cured by switching to a raw diet. If you would like more information about feeding a raw diet, visit RawFedDogs.net.

Toys & Other Cool Stuff |
 |
Planet Dog
Planet Dog makes some of the best "indestructible" toys for heavy chewers (like Trouper). Their Orbee material is lightweight, floats and mint-scented... some of the coolest toys your dog will ever own! The company guarantees their products and will gladly exchange any damaged ones for free.
|
 |
KONG Company
KONGs are great for chewing, fetching, and relieving your dog's boredom while you are away. These toys are nearly indestructible and have openings to hide treats so your dog can work to get them out. They also make a lot of other good toys for fetching and retrieving.
|
 |
Ruff Wear
Cool stuff for active dogs and owners - backpacks, dog boots, life jackets and lots of other fun things. If you like to get outdoors (and out of the neighborhood) with your dog check this place out.
