About Us

Metrolina K9 is a family business owned and operated by Randy and Leah Clift. Randy is our training director and oversees all aspects of our training programs from initial consultations to hands-on instruction during client lessons. Randy grew up in Indiana and has been around dogs all of his life. He learned his craft and mastered his training skills during an extensive apprenticeship with his brother Rick, who owns and operates Trinity Dog Training in Trinity, FL. Randy specializes in canine rehabilitation and believes that all dogs can be happier, healthier pets through proper training, structure and communication.

Randy has successfully helped train and rehabilitate hundreds of dogs through his unique blend of canine psychology, common sense and real-world problem solving techniques. He refers to this method as "Understand, Communicate, and Follow Through". Randy’s experience in canine psychology, his common sense approach to problem solving, and his passion for teaching others the secrets of successful dog-owner relationships have made Metrolina K9 one of the best Private Dog Training Schools in America and one of a kind in the Carolinas.
